Tucson Botanical Gardens

The Tucson Botanical Gardens are a beautiful oasis in the heart of Tucson.

The gardens were originally the home of Bernice and Rutger Porter. The Home originally dated to the 1920s, and the earliest buildings on the property were constructed of adobe bricks made right on site.

True to the vision of Mrs. Porter, the Tucson Botanical Gardens are a place of  inspiration, education and beauty about the natural world.

There are 16 different gardens located within the grounds of the Botanical Gardens that represent a variety of gardening themes and traditions.

The Botanical Gardens offer classes and programs  for adults on a broad basis, from composting in your yard to botanical art.

The children's educational programs are offered to  both schools and families with the motto of learning in a  fun, hands-on and curriculum based environment.
