Arizona Wineries

Many people say that the climate and soil conditions in the Southern Arizona Communities of Elgin and Sonoita are perfect for growing grapes. The local wineries and also Southern Arizona residents tend too agree too. If you live in Tucson, or are just checking out the area for future relocation, take a break and check out this beautiful area of the Country.

You will see for yourself!

A journey into Arizona Wine Country is a pleasant day trip from Tucson. You will journey  up to around a 4000 ft elevation from the Desert basin of Tucson, and will pass a variety of Desert plants including Scrub Oak Trees, until you reach the grassy high desert plains of Sonoita. Not only are the Events fascinating but the drive is beautiful. On the way the on Highway 83, you will pass the place where the famous series "Little House on the Prairie" was filmed many years ago. Who would have thought that Minnesota was filmed in Southern Arizona!

For exact directions, and also to enquire about Community Events we are including Winery information for you here.

Most of the Destinations are around one to one and a half hours drive out of Tucson  from most of the Tucson Resorts, Hotels and Motels in the area depending on whether you are coming from Oro Valley, the Foothills, Central Tucson or Marana.
